Migration Paths       Click for Honeywell Automation Parts

Depending on your current system there may be one or more migration paths available for your system. These paths will vary in terms of cost and benefits. There is not one solution that is right or wrong. You will have to choose one that is the best fit for you. But of course we can show you your options and in addition we can also make strong recommendations for your situation.

We cannot outline all possible migration paths here. The following paths are given as examples only. This is all ok. But after this I will detail some principles that you should or are well-advised to keep in mind. These principles or guidelines are the views of CITS and in particular me, Riaz Hussain. I developed these rules keeping the customer in mind. You will see that the customer is the focus of all the guidelines. You will agree that the HVAC and Automation business is not going to make any money if the customer is not the focus. My thoughts are going to run counter to the HVAC industry in general but then I do not think the HVAC industry can survive without  following my guidelines in the long run. It is just how the technology is changing and how I view it.

Say you have the following system shown in the block diagram shown below:

XL+ Systems                                                       (XBS-i or Graphic Central)

                          Deltanet PC                                            Gateway

(wall or PC Mounted)              Controller 1                  Controller  2

Monitor                                                                Remote Devices

                                                Controller 1                 Controller 2

                                                                           Microcel            Macrocel

        test interface                  C-nap Bus

There are many ways to analyze this situation.

There are 3 main factors to consider:

Ease of the upgrade, cost, and the most

convenient format of the upgrade

The top row shows the most common problems at any site with any system. I could make it a lot more detailed if necessary but for most situations I think that  is not necessary.

The left vertical column shows you the resource situation to deal with the problems.

Wherever the columns and rows cross I have a solution package for you. The solution package may have more then one code in it. Then check the key for each of the codes and your solution is in your hands. But now comes the problem. You are going to want to know what is the cost of the solution in your case. That's where I need to know what systems you have and what quantities. And also what shape the equipment is in. That is where you need to get me to your site. The cost is only $990.00 for a one day visit.
