Brief                          Microsoft Excel 2000 is a spreadsheet program.  This class is about

                                    programming Excel using the Visual Basic macros.  To this end a detailed

                                    overview of Visual Basic is presented.  This is followed by an introduction

                                    to Excel functions reference.  Program segments are used to illustrate the

                                    working of the programming language.  It is then shown how VB is used to

                                    gain control of Excel.  This is followed by advanced VBA programming

                                    and building solutions with VBA.  

Throughout the class the instructor presents a motivation, discussion and online demonstration for each topic/function available in Excel  2000. 

The students then practice the topic/function on the provided systems using provided detailed lab exercises.
