Brief                      The class starts with a discussion of detail point displays, their function and usage. Every screen of information is discussed and used to illustrate its function. This includes a discussion of server wide parameters.

Advanced report configuration and printing are covered in their entirety  and followed up with hands-on lab exercises. This includes a full amplification of the versatile trend set configuration and display functions.

Point collections are introduced, demonstrated and used next. This leads to the next related concept of a point group. A point group is a collection of up to 8 points that can be displayed together. This is actually a substitute for custom displays and can be extremely useful to see critical groups of equipment such as a chiller system or an air handler. This includes a discussion of the faceplates that you can create for the said group. A faceplate looks just like one of the Excel500 controller modules except that it is just a graphic.

Point History collection and history archiving are quite complex concepts and their use is often misunderstood and they are often misapplied. The class discusses and illustrates these functions explicitly and follows up with specific lab exercises to clear up this nebulous area.

The class also includes every mode of point data access and displaying all point details such as point history, point alarm characteristics and others.

The concept of an event is introduced. Event archiving is illustrated and used with all of its available features and options. This is an invaluable System and HVAC monitoring tool.

Global Time schedules are introduced. These are basically programs that can impact more than one time program in the down line processors. These can significantly reduce the effort and time needed to track and control all of the time schedules in a large campus type setup. 

                                Written exercises are used to reinforce the learning process.
